Kim is a Class-A PGA
Professional with over 28 years
of industry experience in the
Private, Semi-Private, Resort
and Daily Fee arenas and is the
co-founder of Pinnacle Golf
Properties. Kim is responsible
for the overall operational
activities of the company. His
experience involves the
management of multiple course
operations throughout the United
States as well as new course
construction.
In 2008, Kim was voted as one of
the World's 20 Most Admired
Operators by Golf Inc.
Magazine.
Prior to forming
Pinnacle Golf Properties, Kim
was employed by Benchmark Golf
where he was the Director of
Golf Operations for their 18-course
management arm of Benchmark
Hospitality. He served for five
years as Vice President and
Director of Golf Operations for
Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones
Golf Trail, a 24-course
operation consisting of over 700
employees. He directed all golf
operations for the Woodlands
Resort and Country Club in
Houston, Texas, which included
construction management for the
addition of 36 holes to their
eighty-one (81) hole course
operation. Kim spent over 10
years working with the Jack Nicklaus
organization in their Club
Management and New Club
Development group. Kim was a
project manager for the
construction of Valhalla Country
Club in Louisville Kentucky
(site of the 2000 PGA
Championship) and served as
their first Director of Golf.
Additionally, Kim has held the
position of Director of Golf for
Kauai Lagoons Golf and Racquet
Club in Hawaii and Frenchman’s
Creek Golf Club in North Palm
Beach, Florida. Kim is a native
of Indiana and attended Ball
State University. Kim has three
boys and lives in Charlotte with
his wife Sue. |
