Charlie Ortega

Charlie is a Class – A PGA Golf
Professional with 30 years of
industry experience in the Private,
Resort and Daily Fee arenas of the
golf industry. He is responsible for
the expansion of Pinnacle Golf
Properties in the western United
States. His experience involves the
overall management of golf course
operations for both private and
daily fee facilities.
Prior
to joining Pinnacle Golf Properties
he was the Director of Sales for
Procraft Heritage Creations a firm
which specialized in the design,
manufacturing and installation of
custom golf shop interiors and
clubhouse millwork. In his golf
management career Charlie was
General Manager and Director of Golf
at several golf facilities including
the Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa
Barbara; Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in
Portland, Oregon; Hampton Cove on
Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Golf
Trail; Redhawk at Wingfield Springs
in Sparks, Nevada; Kiahuna Golf Club
on Kauai and the Experience at Koele
on the Island of Lanai.
Charlie attended the University of
California at Santa Barbara where he
received a Bachelor of Science
degree in Geography. He furthered
his studies by taking various
seminars including teaching,
merchandising and golf shop design
as a member of the PGA. Charlie
lives in Bend, Oregon with his wife
Sherry and their daughter and son.
